Hi..what things i have to do to keep right accounts ,make profit and loss accounts in my hubby's Business..?

pls help me for this.its proprietorship Business.where he provide all services to garment machines like installing ,software update etc.i have only the bank statements check books and invoices,,he wants me to keep all the accounts properly...i have done accounts before,and it was 15 years ago..i hardly remember these stuff ..pls help me thanks
