He's 7 feet and one of the more athletic guys in the league at that height. Also one of the more gifted scoring big men with a ton of moves around the basket and an outside game to compliment it. A good defender, and great passer for a big man. He constantly causes miss matches. He plays a bit of a softer game like he is used to in europe. But he has shown that he is capable of playing a physical game. Right now there is no PF in the league better than Gasol. Duncan and Garnett have dropped below him at their old age these days. Amare Staudamire doesn't rebound or defend like Gasol, so its not him. So maybe you can say its by default. But were you criticizing him after the Lakers won 2 championships in a row and he was playing like a league MVP the first half of the season this year?
