Any experiences with Artemis Maximal Dog?

The Innova Evo Herring & Salmon was an epic fail for my Toy Xoloitzcuintli boy. He is back on Pro Plan Sensitive Skin & Stomach Formula for now, and his hives have started to disappear. The main ingredient in this food is salmon, while in the Innova Evo it is herring. Is it possible for a dog to be allergic to herring and not salmon? Anyway, I'm looking at Artemis Maximal Dog now. What do you think? The main ingredient is chicken meal, no fish.
